I traveled to Costa Rica in June 2003 to photograph the volcanoes, flowers and people. To no surprise these subjects are all represented in this collection. What did surprise me was the diversity and intensity of the images. While the unexpected results of my journey — the Cementerio portfolio — is elsewhere on this site, this collection of color photographs represents my mind’s eye  expectations of what I would find.

This photo is from the little town of Zacero, which is richly blessed by it cathedral.  Wandering the gardens with fantastic topiary sculptures, this little boy darted out from the bushes as I took this photo.
