Karena qualifies as the only person I met on my brief foray to Asia.  I caught a ferry that left from the Golden Horn in Istanbul and that took me up the Bosporus Strait to the Black Sea.  There I walked up the mount to see the fortress that protected the western flank of the Strait.  Technically, I was in Asia, but just barely.  This portrait is of Karena on the trip back to Istanbul
